Award winners 2002

Our end of year 2002 awards took place on Sunday 15th December 2002 at Waterside Farm Sports & Leisure Centre Canvey Island. Many students travelled  from far and wide to attend the event and everybody was very pleased to see them.

The afternoon started with a 1 hour class conducted by our Chief Instructor.

All the students  then sat down to watch magnificent demonstrations of self-defence performed by the Senior Black Belts.

After a 20 minute break the students lined up again ready to sit and wait to see who won the awards this year.

The purpose of the awards are to show the schools appreciation to the students. It was found particularly difficult this year due to all students trying so hard

The Awards were divided this year into 4 categories for each area:

Best Newcomer, Best Effort, Best All round Student and a Special Effort awards for students who gave their time be the call of duty.

Of course we still had the most prestigious award to come, THE JAMIE MOULES MEMORIAL AWARD. This award has been presented since 1998, the year 13 year old Jamie lost her battle against CYSTIC FIBROSIS. Students who have received this award are held in the highest regard as they have either helped others battle against things life have given or have battled their self.

Congratulations to all the winners !
