The Awards this year were divided into 3 categories for each instructor to present: Best Newcomer, Best Effort, Best All round Student are given for different age groups. A Special Effort award for a student who have given their time beyond the call of duty may also be presented. The following Instructors presented: Miss Forrester (North Essex Instructor) Best Newcomer Jacob Sharp (10th Gup) Best Newcomer Ben Ward'Geddes (8th Gup) Best Effort Sean Coyne (8th Gup) Best Effort Hayley O'Neil (10th Gup) Best All round Student Aaron Yeo (7th Gup) Best All round Student Darren Royce (5th Gup) Special Effort award to: Tanya Sillett (4th Gup) Comment from Miss Forrester: Tanya has given her time and effort in helping setup and run classes in North Essex. She has leafleted, taken calls, transported students, trained, supported classes, recruited new members. Despite physical problems she continues to do all these things, she is 100% loyal and committed to our organisation and the art of Tang Soo Do. Miss Boland (South East Essex Instructor) Due to the range of ages some of the categories had to be duplicated. He has been training with us for over 7 years and despite moving from Canvey to far away Kings Lynn (Norfolk) David still makes the effort to travel to class when he is able.
